A reader sent this picture via e-mail to one of our reporters. It looks like the rail crossing on North Street/Reservoir Road is really getting rough, swallowing cars whole.

Looks like the new Hybrid from Toyota, hope no one was hurt. Lima is famous for being a train town. Sadly, Lima may be more famous for it’s rail crossings.
I pass this way twice a day, 15 days a month and it never seems to get fixed right. Patched now and then, but never really fixed for long. You have to decide how fast is too fast to hit the potholes and how slow is too slow to risk getting swallowed by one of them and then smacked by the next train.
It has always been that way here and I would not expect it to change. The good news is if you are looking for a muffler you can often find one adjacent to most of the old DT&I tracks.
